In the capital of Kamchatka on June 15, the Museum of Volcanoes opened in the House of Interesting Science and Creativity "Interesting". On the eve of the solemn opening of the "Vulcanarium", and from now on everyone can visit the museum.
The author and organizer of the project is the candidate of physical and mathematical sciences, deputy director of the Institute of Volcanology and Seismology of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences Sergei Samoilenko. "Every visitor to the exhibition must understand what he will see when he climbs the volcano. To realize this idea, we came up with an interactive museum in which the exhibits can be touched and viewed. In addition, you can start the clouds, go into the lava cave, see how the lava flow is formed. Visitors can watch, read, listen, touch, feel. Responding to the requests of the time, we made special stands for selfi against the background of erupting Kamchatka volcanoes, "said Sergei Samoilenko.
As told in the press service of the administration of the regional center, special significance of the project for the city under the volcanoes was noted by the deputy head of Petropavlovsk Yulia Ivanova. "The project perfectly complements the tourist infrastructure of the city. We wish the organizers successes so that the exposition of the museum expands, and as many children and adults as possible visit it, they could touch the amazing world of volcanoes, "Yulia Ivanova said.
As previously reported by IA Kamchatka, you can visit the Vulcanarium together with Intersarium, with one entrance ticket.
Admission for adults costs 800 rubles, for children - 550. It is planned that in July there will be separate tickets to Vulcanarium and Interest.
